Request a Mass Intention
Mass intentions can be scheduled online, in person at the Parish Office, or via mail to the parish. Access our online Mass Intentions Book if you would like to request a Flame of Faith or Mass Intention. We have also updated our Intentions Guidelines. If you have any questions, please call the Parish Office 815-633-6311.
What is a Mass Intention?
When a priest celebrates Mass, he can apply the grace of that Mass towards a specific need or intention. This is called the "intention of the Mass". People can request a Mass Intention for a deceased loved one, a living person who is sick or suffering, or a living person celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or other special moment in their life. If the request is for a living person, it is called a special intention.
