Music Ministry

Traditional Choir

The traditional choir consists of men and women, young and old who love to sing their praises to God.  They enhance the 10:00 am Sunday Mass from September to June with their wide repertoire of liturgical music.  The Traditional Choir also sings at special liturgies during Holy Week and Christmas. Rehearsal is on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm in the choir room of the church. The choir is open to anyone high school age and above.  Safe environment training is required.

Cantors

The Ministry of cantor is two-fold: first as a psalmist, proclaiming the Psalm at Mass and second as a song leader, announcing the hymns and leading the congregation in singing. An extensive musical background is not necessary, but a strong, confident singing voice and the ability to sing in front of a large crowd is needed. A cantor will usually sing no more than two masses a month.  Safe environment training is required.
