Join us in the Parish Hall to learn more about the political theory informing our country’s founding, and its relevance for today. The Declaration of Independence is one of our most important founding documents.
St. John Fisher and St. Thomas More were two great saints who spoke eloquently on the importance of religious freedom and liberty during a time when that fundamental right was threatened. We celebrate their feast day on June 22. Their stance led to their martyrdom in England. As Americans, we have a high regard for the freedoms we are blessed with.
Parishioner John Danielson will lead us in a reflection on the Declaration of Independence. John served for 23 years as an adjunct instructor in Political Science at Rockford Valley College. For the past 27 years, he has served as the Loves Park City Treasurer. He has also served on the Winnebago County Board.
