Baptism is the sacrament of new life. We become a child of God through this sacrament and enter into God’s family, the Church. If you desire to have a child baptized, please call the Parish Office 815-633-6311 if you have any questions.
To help you in preparation for your child's baptism, please download and read the baptismal packet. You will find information that will help you in choosing Godparents and scheduling the Baptism.
If it is your first child to be baptized, we have some baptismal preparation for you to do. Here are the Baptismal Prep Instructions to access the Baptismal preparation videos. You will need to watch the videos before you meet with one of the priests. To schedule an appointment with one of the priests, call the Parish Office 815-633-6311. For the meeting, he will meet you at the Church to show you where the baptism will take place and to talk about the ceremony.
While most children are baptized as infants, it is also possible to have your child baptized if he or she is older. It is never too late to receive the sacraments. If you have a child or teen who needs baptized, call the Parish Office 815-633-6311 for more information.
If you are an adult and have never been baptized, we have a program for you. The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) prepares those who need sacraments.
May God bless you and all who receive the sacrament of new life in Baptism.
